Description
This counter token is a testament to the artistry of Albrecht Hoger, a master engraver active from 1735 to 1789. The obverse displays the draped and labeled bust of King Louis XV, framed by the lettering "LVD.XV.D.G. FR.ET.NA.REX." On the reverse, a three-masted ship sails left, encircled by the legend "DURCH GLUCK UND FLEIS RE PF (AH)", with Albrecht Hoger's signature. This numismatic piece is minted between 1735-1789. The counter token in particular is holed.
